\nOver the years, we realized that we needed to push the envelope even further, to achieve maximum buoyancy in the hips and thighs, but triathlon rules limit wetsuit thickness to a maximum of 5 mm. So our aim was to push the limits to get the most out of them, which led us to the most buoyant material ever used in wetsuit production.<\/p>\n

Foam +43\u2122<\/strong>
\nThere's no thinner or more buoyant material on the market, 43% more buoyant than standard neoprene.<\/p>\n

Foam +43\u2122 has been the most important technological advance in wetsuit materials for over 80 years. Since its creation in 1930, neoprene has been used in numerous applications. It wasn't until the late 1980s that the first triathlon enthusiasts used smooth-skin versions of neoprene, and we wondered why this hadn't progressed?<\/p>\n

In our laboratory tests, we found that dimples and contours offered no performance advantage. It took constant questioning of the standard and a multi-year development cycle with our production partners HD Labs to finally create a lighter, more buoyant material. The result? A revolutionary 43% foam with more buoyancy (than standard neoprene), well worth the 80-year wait!<\/p>\n

Neoprene will always have its place... well, for now! The Japanese Yamamoto materials we use are perfect for the stretch and extension zones, combined with our engineering and design process, there's really no substitute, but buoyancy offers a different set of needs. When it comes to wetsuit buoyancy, first there was neoprene, then NBR, now there's +43\u2122, and we can't wait for you to try it.<\/p>\n

\nDeveloped in partnership with Innovate-UK, Active Drag Measurement (A.D.M.) is the ultimate measurement - the Holy Grail of data for swimmers. What is the drag I create myself and in different wetsuits, swimsuits, etc.? There are other methods, but none as accurate as the M.A.D. system.<\/p>\n

Professor Huub Toussaint invented the first M.A.D. system 15 years ago, but his learning and research led him to want to take it to the next level by using 17 force plates instead of just one. Thanks to the vision of HUUB and its shareholders, the decision was made to pursue this dream and create our own M.A.D. system.
